Virginia Park Houses for Sale - Edmonton

Virginia Park is a smaller development that may be found along the north west edge of the greater Highlands area. Northlands Park, fair grounds and the Northlands Horserace track is to the north of the community, but much of this residential space is occupied by Borden Park, which creates a natural border to the commercial area. Borden Park is also a big attraction with residents, as it affords outdoor recreation and a place for community league events.

Virginia Park Community Amenities & Features:

Borden Park features many recreational amenities in the naturally forested space, along with walking and cycling trails, picnic spots, tennis courts, sporting fields, and an outdoor pool.

Homes for sale in Virginia Park include single and multi-family dwellings on well sized lots. This creates a good sense of privacy and safety, and makes the neighborhood itself very pedestrian friendly with good sidewalks and tree lined local roads. Bus services are mainly on 112th Avenue and from the University Campus, but Stadium Station LRT stop is also less than a kilometer to the west.

The Concordia University College of Alberta campus is a major feature for this area, and takes up much of the eastern part of the neighborhood. Residents can make use of the Ralph King Athletic Centre and even audit classes for continuing education. Children in the area are able to attend the Virginia Park School, while Edmonton Public Schools also serve this community.

Other attraction include Northlands Park horse racing, and shows and sports events at the Commonwealth Arena. Shopping is located along border roads, as well as in the adjacent Downtown Edmonton suburb.
